View From my Office – Finke Gorge Aug 2026

I’ve been camped on the Finke Gorge in the Finke Gorge National Park for the past 10 days in this absolutely beautiful, quiet spot. Just gorgeous views and lots of birds.

A dingo comes round to say hello every couple of days and see if he can find any food, which he rarely does.

I woke up a few mornings ago, after feeling very cold overnight; I saw this frost everywhere. It got down to about -4°, so I felt justified in feeling cold.
I love the fractal river patterns on the rear tyre cover.
