Wonboyn Lake

I used to visit Wonboyn Lake regularly over about a ten year period- my last visit was probably 25 years ago.

It’s an incredibly beautiful area surrounded by National Park, so remains unspoilt.

I had booked five nights here at Wonboyn Cabins & Caravan Park. You have to stay at the caravan park as there is no camping allowed.

My mate, Shane was coming up from Melbourne for a few days – we visited a few spots while he was here – fantastic to see him again.

I used to snorkel at Greenglades many years ago and it has always been “my peaceful place” to visit in my mind.

It’s a beautiful drive to Greenglades and I then walked out to my old snorkelling spot – it was very emotional going back there.

    1. Hi Rees
It was a perfect couple of days catching up with my old mate amongst the wild beauty of the far south NSW region.
